We started out our Spring Break* by heading south to see cousins in Richmond (Day 1: Friday) who we then dragged along with us (Day 2: Saturday) to homeschool days at Colonial Williamsburg** (even further south).
Buddy loves signs. We thought these bathroom signs at Colonial Williamsburg were especially funny.
We walked on a bridge from the visitor's center, to the town part of Williamsburg where the actors are pretending to be colonial people. Along the bridge there were little signs giving a date and (going towards Williamsburg) something we'd lost. Heading back to our cars, we were going forward in time and gaining stuff. B especially liked this sign heading into Williamsburg, and back in time. It reads: 1913: From this date, you pay no income tax and receive no social security.

It was a bit cold, so we showed Baby X where his pockets were. He thought this was wonderful and I kept having to help him find them again.

Baby X and B. Luckily Baby X seemed to have a good time at Colonial Williamsburg since this almost choked him, and less than an hour later he got a door shut on his hand.

We ended Day 2 of our vacation by saying goodbye to the cousins, and making our way from Williamsburg to Lewe's, Delaware where we spent the night in a hotel.

Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel. It's a bridge, then a tunnel, then a bridge. Buddy LOVED this. And Baby X kept yelling "more bridges" as we spotted them along the river.
B ended up sending me to get Baby X his own tri-corner hat (after I'd already told Aunt H he wouldn't need one). Turns out he did. That's Baby X's "smile."
We also went on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel is, from shore to shore, 17.6 miles of bridge, then tunnel, then bridge, then tunnel, then bridge. It was too dark to take pictures by the time we got there. Buddy has been excited about this bridge-tunnel for awhile ever since B told him we'd have to drive that way one time to get Virginia counties and to finish Maryland counties, along with some southern New Jersey counties.
**Homeschool Days happens in the spring and in the fall at Colonial Williamsburg and is a great deal. We paid $6.50/person (5 and under free), instead of regular prices which are $28.50 or so for adults, off-season.
