Two Months

Mystery Baby turned eight weeks old on Friday, October 12.  Here he is, a day later on his 8 weeks and 1 day birthday.

He went in for his two month check up on his eight week b-day.  Here are his stats:
length: 23 inches (50-75%)
weight: 12 lbs. 13.5 oz. (75-90%)
head: 40 1/2  (50-75%)

The doctor said his head control was at almost four months.  He smiles.  He sort of coos and makes vowel sounds.  He sort of giggles.  He almost never lays his head down if you are holding him upright.  He'll follow you around the room with his eyes.  He likes patty cake and sometimes it seems like he's anticipating the fun part that he knows comes next and smiles ahead of time.  The kids still love him, even Buddy asked to hold him the other day.  He has a long, loud screamy part in the middle of each day when he is over tired.  He seemed like he was getting nearer to sleeping through the night but that was followed by horrible nights of waking up every 2 1/2 to 3 hours.  He has long periods when he'll just lay on his blanket and stare at toys or walls, etc.

I forgot yesterday, so this is 6 weeks and a day.  With a teeny smile.

I always take a ton of pictures with the monkey each week in case they are blurry or he's crying or they crop weird.  So, here are the others.

I think PS took these close ups when she was holding him.  I keep having to remind her not to get so close with the camera.

One month and a day

I read an article about losing pregnancy weight and one of the things it mentioned was how pregnancy messes up your posture.  I've got a teeny belly and about 4 lbs to go to be pre-pregnancy weight and this picture isn't really showing that.

We have a bunch of family that have Friday birthdays in August and September, so Mystery Baby's milestones keep landing on big dates.  Two weeks before he was born were cousin ARM and Great Grandpa Pf's birthdays.  A week before he was born was PS's birthday.  Then he was born.  Two weeks later on a Friday was Grandma L's birthday.  Three weeks old was Uncle G's birthday (3 weeks and a day was Grandpa M's birthday).  Today would have been both of my grandmas birthdays if they were still living. Next Friday, cousin ARF turns 13 and the following Saturday, cousin ATM turns 3.

Finally got Buddy to hold him again.
