The Little House on the Prairie is about the time the Ingalls family lived in sort of southeastern Kansas, a city called Independence. We didn't quite go past their on our Fall Break trip to county gathering trip to St. Louis, but as one of our stops to let the kids walk around, etc. we stopped in Mansfield, MO which is where Laura lived after she was married, where she wrote the books, and where she died. So this is a picture of Princess Sparkley and Boy at the Laura Ingalls Wilder home and museum in Mansfield.
