Ward Campout

Buddy and Princess Sparkley were very disappointed two years ago when we had a ward campout but we couldn't spend the night because we didn't own a tent, sleeping bags, etc. So Princess Sparkley requested that we put a tent on our Christmas lists from grandmas and grandpas (Grandma and Grandpa M filled that request). She got a sleeping bag for her birthday that year. She got me a sleeping bag (pink) for Christmas, and Daddy one (extra-long) for his birthday. And somewhere in that mess of things Buddy got one as well. So this time when the ward had a campout we were all set. Except for the new baby who is reliant on an electric breast pump and a refrigerator and a busy weekend. So, B bargained with them. If we took the tent and set it up but didn't spend the night, he would take them swimming the next day at the Indoor Aquatic Center and he'd rent "Underdog" for them. They agreed. Buddy spent most of the campout with the tent. Setting it up, playing in it, taking it down. I think he only came out to eat, and to run around with the glow rings they handed out to the kids. He and B had a rowdy game of basketball going with the pockets inside the tent. Baby X hung out in there some as well. Princess Sparkley was off on a nature hike with a friend and the mom the weaseled into it.
